US: Immigrants May Be Held Indefinitely

WASHINGTON (AP) — [ILLEGAL] Immigrants arrested in the United States may be held indefinitely on suspicion of terrorism and may not challenge their imprisonment in civilian courts, the Bush administration said Monday, opening a new legal front in the fight over the rights of detainees.

That is OK with me!! It’s funny how this story leaves out the word “illegal” infront of “immigrants”

Audio: Kyl says Bush’s amnesty plan could be filibustered — by Republicans

Full Transcript:
Laura Ingraham: “Will the GOP minority in the Senate, Senator Kyl, filibuster the president if he agrees with a broad coalition of Democrats and pro-illegal immigration Republicans on pushing temporary workers and a path to citizenship? Can you see that happening?”

KYL: “I would certainly hope that the majority of Republicans in the Senate would not be complicit in passing legislation that is not wise, that for example, would put everybody on a path to citizenship and say that temporary workers get to get U.S. citizenship, and so on. I would certainly hope that we would have the 40 votes to be able to stop that, but, I don’t know, we’re going to have to wait and see; it’ll be very close.”

Laura Ingraham: “I would guess then that’s a yes; a filibuster would be in order if it was necessary.”

KYL: “It would be in order. My only question is whether we’ve got the votes to do it. Clearly a majority of the Republicans in the Senate don’t want that kind of legislation, but whether we’ve got 40 votes, I’m just not sure.”

Video: Report: Pelosi hired illegal immigrants for Napa Valley vineyard

San Francisco radio talk show host Melanie Morgan appeared on Hannity & Colmes tonight to discuss Nancy Pelosi’s hypocritical politics. The topic was the minority leader’s pork barrel spending, but Morgan brought up the Napa Valley vineyard Pelosi owns and the people who work for her. The American Thinker wrote about the people Pelosi hires.

—–***—–

This type of thing makes me so mad! If you recal Linda Chavez withdrew her nomination for Secretary of Labor after she acknowledged sheltering an illegal immigrant. But hey, she was a Republican so she had to withdraw it! What about Pelosi? Well, nothing will happen. The media wont touch it because Pelosi is their darling. I sure hope I am wrong but I suspect that the media will spin it or not report it and Pelosi wont address it and it just gets swept under the rug.
WHY DID YOU PUT THEM IN POWER?!? Stupid Moderates!

Transcript: Rush Limbaugh: Elites Gift Wrap Defeat as “Pragmatism”

So instead of the plan being oriented toward victory and how we can win in Iraq, we now have a plan presented on how to get out of there. This is admission of defeat. This is not only are we going to cut-and-run and hightail out of there, we’re going to admit that we shouldn’t have gone in there in the first place and that we’re not capable of winning a war like this one.
